Awesome Felicia.

Unbelievable amount of money!

Awesome, wonderful...

BTW i can't believe that last note. "Demonstrator. This car was built by Skoda as a one off!. " Because in main description is written "Felicia 1.6SLXi", so that is custom work...

It wasnt built by Skoda, it was built for them.

I don't get it... is this actually a VR6 or are they taking the P?!

Looks nice though!

Phil

If it is Awesomes old one (I think it is) it was built by them for Skoda and it does indeed have a 2.8 VR6 motor.

So why are they listing it as 1.6!?

If it is the Awesome one then surely you would want to list all the details correctly instead od underselling it so much!

Phil

Le Car seem to have a habit of buying "specials" and marking them up rediculously.

Have they still got the Octavia vRS WRC for sale?

I remember reading about this yellow VR6 engined Felicia when it was first done. A nice car for sure, but £13k is a **** take. Might be worth a third of that to a real enthusiast...

It's got the fun interior I believe it was supposed to have. Can think of other cars I'd rather spend £13k on unfortunately.

It wasnt built by Skoda, it was built for them.

I see. Thanks for explain.

I think the listing states its a 1.6 because Le Car simply put the reg number into the ebay listing page and that title is generated by ebay.

Like already said, Skoda didnt build it-Awesome did. Ive got the article somewhere-Il dig it out.

I do remember that the reverse gear was a bit of a pig to engage and made a nice clunk as it went in!

13K? Thats so funny!

Cos i cant spell, innit.

If I was in the market I'd pay a premium for a genuine Awesome project car like that, but 13K is extracting the proverbial! A VR6 mk2 Golf would usually be about half that money.

Add just over 4k and you can have a brand spanka Golf R32!!

Here it is again:

VR6 Skoda Felicia 200BHP For Sale (1997) on Car And Classic UK

I saw this car a few times when I lived in London, but it was on YOJ 341 registration plates back then.Maybe worth £5K tops??? Certainly not £13K. Le Car Centre are always a bit 'optimistic' with their prices! It took them 4 years to sell that WRC Octy!!

4 years!! I knew it was kicking around for a while, but 4 years takes the preverbial.

It was originally on a V plate when it was in the mags, although I understand it was a 1997 car...

It was originally on a private plate, ive found the feature-hardly a flattering write up.

It tickles me that some people think it a selling point that a car is featured in "max power"

Trouble with selling that kind of car is that it's much more fun to do the mods than just buy them. I'd love to do a project like that, but buy one? No way! Even though, if you reckon your time is worth anything at all, it could easily cost the best part of 13 biguns by the time you're done. But then I'd also want to drive the thing when I was done. Did you clock the mileage quoted for that? 13600 in 10 years? Someone's left it on the drive for months at a stretch, looks like.

YOJ 341 was the registration number it used to carry.;)

As the facelifted Felly arrived in April 1998, and by noticing the darkness of the grey on the dashboard, I am assuming it has been upgraded to the facelift models bumpers and grille etc.

Jim Cotton swapped the old style bonnet for the new along with the bumpers.

Shame he didnt get rid of that old style centre console while he was at it!

With 70brake, he must mean 170kph! On standard gearing a 120bhp or so Estelle/Rapid 130 will rev out at 120mph in top!

Yeah, I notice he's got standard brakes too...

I'll bet with all that weight in the front, it handles like crap. I've driven a Mk2 Polo with a 16V conversion and that was bad enough. Even with the best suspension set up available, it still wouldn't exactly be a pleasant drive. The previous owners may have been preserving the car's mileage. however I fear that it has only been driven 13K due to the handling.

Also, the amount of money they are asking is ludicrous especially when you think of the current financial climate.
