does any one know around here if you need to take the front bumper off a mk1 octy to remove the light i got new ones to put in and not sure how it's done

money to tight to buy a haynes manual at the moment

no you don't its just torq screws and 1 bolt

Yeah you just have to remove the indicator units first (1 hex head screw), then it's just 4 or 5 torx screws around the lamp. Should just slide out then.

Oh, be careful not to scratch the paint off the bumper when slidiing the headlamp unit out. Some people cover the bumper area with masking tape to prevent this. The electrical connectors can be fiddly to pull apart, so be careful not to snap one.

Other than that it's very easy.

thanx for the info guys now have the lights in much more easier than i thought it would be.

been looking through some of the threads and was thinking about a front upper strut brace for lindy ( thats the wives name for the car ) and see that the audi s3 lower is more suited for the front was looking for a few opinions to sharpen the handling a bit.
