New car arrived!!!

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have taken delivery of a brand new Octy VRS CR in Race Blue with the 18's!!!

First impressions are mixed having switched from a Leon FR TSI, which was awesome! Slowly getting used to different driving stlye. Has plenty of grunt and over 50 mpg on motorway.

It has only done ~200 miles so is pretty tight, but after 2k or so it will loosen up.

Pleased with the car on the whole but miss steering wheel stereo controls!

Great chassis, plenty of grunt, good on fuel - what more can I ask for?

Looks great too, had plenty of double takes so far!

Glad you're pleased with the new motor.

There's plenty of helpful people on here, so if any queries arise, you'll probably find the answers already here.

I'm looking at chaning to a CR TDI VRs from a TFSI so am glad you think the diesel has plenty of grunt.

I'm considering race blue or white, and also the estate variant.

What's with the R32 avatar then?

i love the way the TSI revs but fuel economy was getting me down! Gettin easy 44mpg on country roads and as soon as on bit of a run move towards and above 50mpg, pretty good considering the grunt it has!

In 70 in 6th on motorway it's ready to go and pulls strongly to as fast you can get away with....

Yeah I love the R32 but am gunna change it soon, watch this space!

Sounds like a nice motor - glad the TDi has enough grunt to keep you happy. I'm the other way and changed from a chipped TDI to the TFSI and love it - although the fuel bills are stacking up!

Yeah - that would be my top-priority mod to the VRS - if we had a group buy on VRS steering wheels with controls fitted. Anyone?

So have you got the R32 at the moment? That would be my preferred car but I need the practicality of the Octy. IMO for sub 20k nothing else really matches it for performance, practicality and vfm.

I had the TT with the 3.2 engine and it was awesome, - not massively quick (probably just about show the VRs up) but just sounded fantastic.

ha ha, no just the avatar i'm afraid, have driven a few miles in one and did some quarter mile runs but not bought one!

Didn't think it was much quicker than my old FR to be honest.

Yeah the VRS is excellent VFM and the boot is huge, easily fit my rugby kit in!

enjoy it mate they are great cars with good products inside

Blue is clearly the new black!

Thats really the only thing I miss, the steering wheel controls.

you'll have to change your username !!..blackmagic rules ok !!
