Oil pressure gauge

Featured Replies

Good morning all, i've got some guages to fit to my car to keep

an eye on the usual things (oil temp, oil pressure and boost). i was thinking about the oil pressure sensure the other day, do you think you can put the actual sensor on the oil return pipe from the turbo??? i was thinking this would help to monitor the oil pressure at the turbo just incase i get a blockage and end up with a dead turbo. do you think this would work?

I wouldn't interfere with the turbo oil lines mate, as long as the car is serviced at least every 10k (and driven sensibly) it should be fine.

I got my oil temp/pressure gauges hooked up to a sandwich plate which mounted where the oil filter locates, then in turn the filter locates on to this. Screwed in both senders and connected the wires and jobs a good'en.

You can't get these anymore I don't think, but something like this would be ideal if you can find one.

yeah i've had a look at those and found a motorsport company that can supply me with one. i work with vw and seen alot of cars that have had oil starvation at the turbo and fought it would be a good idea, but yeah your right that i could do more damage.
