yes i ordered it today from my closest dealer, which is uddingston and it was £46-81 +vat and it will be in tomorrow so thanks for all the help.

Sounds quite expensive that. Sure it normally £30-odd? Are Seat upto their normal parts price increase game again?

Steve

benefits please?

fitted a Jabba RARB and can't beleive the difference in handling.

Would front strut brace are we talking the same but different?

(beginning to think more fun had improving suspension rather than more power although i still love my remap!)

and in this strut brace versus spelling thread

i now see the irony in mis-spelling beleive...dammit....bleieve...****....beelieve.....ah crap...........

I'm by no means an expert, but I'm not sure the strut brace makes any difference at all in normal road driving. Admittedly, I have never tried the fixed Seat Sport one, but I do have a momo one in a box somewhere, and I did once have a Forge one. I love Forge Products, but found the strut brace while pretty to look at, not a great fit and a bit flimsy.

hmmm brings to mind the question......why bother then?

Hi Shifty

I would fit the one you have, you will never look back. You will notice a small difference

with the upper strut brace but your money is better spent on the lower brace, this makes a world of difference and with the power your car makes boy you need it ;)

Hi Mark :)

Yeah, I took the momo off as I was swapping Ecu's, cleaning air filters... didnt put it back on, and I have to say I dont feel any noticable change. Lower one would be interesting. It was the fact they are quite low when fitted that put me off those.

I dont think Im going to make it tomorrow mate, but will catch up soon. And good luck with the job hunting. Sure you will find something soon. :D

Can't do mate, I'm having some stoppers put on the Mazda.

I have a garage half full of bits waiting to go on the Fabia, some of them I had waiting to go on the last one.........

I'm not indolent, I'm just, er, er, unduly busy.

We will miss you both but have fun .

Job front is looking good for next week ( but it''s a secret don't tell anyone )

;)

If the job front looks as good as Sarahs front you are on to a winner...

Cheers Shifty

Top geezer and always will be

Mr Grumpy !

I can add nothing to your words

Hey you two , behave ;)

Dave , do the lower one , for what they cost , good price and good results

The best thing to do is go to a BBQ , get merry and buy one at the auction

Then get a drunken Fat Boy Slim to attempt to fit it , change your name to Jack as you have a car on your head , then decide to do it another day

Oh it is her with the front

See you all soon

Me

Hello Sarah.

It's still in my garage...

Along with the upper strut brace, the centre armrest, the splitter, the air intake.....

I could do with borrowing Mark for a day, I'll fill him with cider, and pay him the minimum wage if that's ok? :D

Hi Mr Grumpy

Sounds like a plan! lets do it !

Me and Sarah will come and stop the night and get your Fab sorted :)

Can't do next week as I have some "top secret" work to do for a major UK based VAG tuning company ( but don't tell anyone )

He he

You are welcome to come and stay anytime.

A days fannying about with cars, an evening with curry and beer, and a night full of banter and whisky sounds good....

Oooh , who mentioned Whiskey........

Then you can tell everyone how good the lower strut brace is

Whisky dear, no e ,:D

As said, you are both quite welcome, drop me a pm, and we'll arrange something.

Forgive me for being thick, but where can I get the lower strut brace, roughly how much will it cost, and what does it bolt onto...? Cheers

Don't bother.

I've had one for 18 months sat in the garage.

They 'may' stiffen the front a tad, but they sit about an inch lower than the car, so if yours is lowered , it can become an issue.

I'll sell you mine though if you like...:D

Um...on second thoughts perhaps not, thanks though

My car is lowered, and the standard of road surfacing on my island is around the same level as that of Kazakhstan around the time of the nuclear weapons tests... So maybe not! :o
