No, but here on Briskoda, we like to speak (type) something close to English. Not text speak rubbish !

were not all old and up ourselfs. i do not want to come on here and watch how i type incase i make a mistake, im here to get help info and speak to people freely. this is pathetic

On the contrary, I'm quite happy to send you out the class :P.

Nobody wants to read someone’s attempts at English where it is quite clear they cannot be bothered. Ned text speak is a general annoyance and discouraged.

I'd rather read a genuine attempt that is misspelled, as many of my posts are, than some of the vowel’less number substituting drivel that gets posted on occasion.

You only need to hit the ABC/tick icon when you've finished a post and it will spellcheck it. It's not a case of speaking freely, it's just a matter of politeness as most people cannot read txt speak as easily as the written word. Txt speak should remain just that. :) To us, the moderating team, it is more pathetic to see people not using the full keyboard when it is available to them, unlike on a mobile phone.

To add to the comments above, there isn't a restrictive limit on the number of characters that can be typed into a message here and thus there is no need to express your words in an abbreviated txt speak manner. It quite simply won't be tolerated so if as you say you want to get help and speak freely to people here I suggest you heed the gentle warnings already given to you.

fair enough i have never been made aware of this before and i do not realise when i do it. i will now watch what i do more often. and is this abc option available on quick reply ?

A typing mistake is fine. I've made hundreds here, but at least try English. It makes it much easier to read, and makes people more prepared to help. You've just shown you can do it perfectly well enough......

I use this little feature which I find quite handy.

ieSpell - Spell Checker add-on for Internet Explorer

As Chris says, we aren't here to victimise or criticise academically challenged individuals, far from it it's about maintaining a level of decorum and not turning into a bunch of Nova/Corsa drivers overnight.

I'm soo used to texting i forgot how to spell Okay the other day... i just though it was OK lol.... anyhow im sure i heard on the grape vine the forge is off ill fitting, im sure someone said it rattled on the bonnet or something... the seat sport one is cheaper and looks a bit more robust anyways...?

I had one but it was a pest when you need to clean the air filter

i didnt realise text speak was so frowned apon. yes it is actually bad and i will definetly stop it now. ! ah yes this is what i was wanting too know. ie bad fitting ect ect. think i will just need to find my closest seat dealer.

The Forge bar does make contact with the Airbox causing a bit of a rattle,

The SEAT bar is better value though!

Granted it's not as nice to look at as the Forge bar.

But then you don't see it 99.9% of the time

yes agreed does anyone have a part number for the seat brace or do i just walk in and ask for a ibiza brace ?

I'd join in too, with photos of engine bays, but as I don't have a strut brace it might not be relevant to this thread ;)

Kilmarnock SEAT will get you one in mate ;)

I may as well join in the pic-fest :D

(its an old pic ;))
