N95 (8GB) and BBCI Player

Featured Replies

Can't remember where i found it now (Googled it a few weeks back) but i managed to find a version of BBCI Player that works on my '3' branded handset. Using it over HSDPA it streams the video very well and i'm impressed, but i can't download the program i like over HSDPA for some reason, the only option is with a WiFi connection.

So i have tried to do it this way (on several different WiFi connections) and it starts off fine, but then stops and a warning pops up about it not being compatible.

Anybody else had this issue or know a way around it?

Also if i download the program using a PC from the BBC Iplayer site, it asks what format i want it in so i select the best for my phone, but then it gives a warning about copyright protection and won't copy...

I just want Top Gear on my mobile... is it too much to ask?

Yes it is too much to ask at the moment... N95 doesnt support protected WMA so download from web is out.. and the Iplayer mobile has to be hacked to work... IIRC it has to be v1 rather than v1.5 which is the current version.

Thats a bugger, but not to worry, cheers for the reply.

N96 could be an alternative when upgrade is due so i can hang on.
