It would be good if you could add it to the Reviews section on here - Reviews - Reviews at BRISKODA.net - BRISKODA - The Skoda Forums

Oops!

I've sent a request o DGW so hopefully it will appear soon

To be honest my overall experience with Skoda has been 7 / 10. All inclusive.

Dealers .,...... Well i just hate them. The car I love it. Where else can you get a

decent looking car that`s cheap to run and goes like sh!!t off of a shovel. Being a

Yorkshireman this is the equivalent to a canine Whippet! :)

And no DPF. Thank Goodness.

Thing is this car is near enough perfect but the small faults it comes with highlights its

imperfections. (I have had them I know) Then i realised this car is a horny little devil a

real enthusiasts car. It`s not the equivalent of the woman you would marry. More like

the little minx from your wildest dreams. HTH

SUK really are just the marketing department for VW. If you have an issue, reason

with the dealer or try your local VAG specialist. All the Best.

PS Go to Sheffield for servicing.

The only complaint about my local dealer is they wanted to charge me extra for a brake service, ie remove pads, check thickness, re-grease and replace. My local garage does it as part of any service. They failed to fix my driverside wiper hitting the edge of the screen and I had specifically said on 3 occasions it only did it in high winds. The car they sold me had a number of faults and they had supposedly done a though inspection of it.

On the plus side I got a good deal i.e. 40K service and 1 years tax when buying and the people were very pleasant.

The car itself I love anyway of course.

Fabia vRS 9/10

Dealers:

LHT Skoda:3/10

Pontypridd Skoda:6/10

Sinclair Skoda: (So far) 8/10

My vRS has been pretty much perfect apart from the leaky doors which I went to LHT Skoda to sort out under warranty. They said it was sorted and don't pressure wash for 2 days. i thought fine as I don't anyway. 2 days later I jumped into the car after a heavy rain and all the seals were still leaking! I took the car back and demanded they were done again. They thankfully did it this time round although the door handles weren't screwed back properly which I had to sort myself. Thankfully now Skoda have taken the franchise off them for doing "something naughty" probably for not carrying out warranty work properly.

A few months went by and after hitting a pothole I needed a new alloy plus I needed a few other things so I had to go to the Skoda in Pontypridd which was the nearest at the time (an hour's drive). It took three attempts to get the right parts which included sending one alloy back because it was flat on one edge.

And finally I went to Sinclair Skoda to get the few last bits and pieces whcih I had missed/was given wrong when I went to Pontypridd. The parts man was very helpful and answered all my questions. Parts were there within a few days and I only paid once I saw that the parts were right which was good.

I went in there yesterday to get a keyring on my way past. The woman went to get the parts man who was in the garage. While he was coming I started talking to one of the salesmen who said that you get a keyring when you buy a new car. I said that I had just bought a vRS so it would be a good while yet before I bout a new car. So he went in his desk and gave me a keyring and said to remember when I buy a car off them next time I won't get one for free! I thought this was really nice and will be taking the car there for its 40,000 mile service (just under £250 i think).

I have been a lucky member on here and never really had any major issues with my vRS....
