Top Up Oil

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I could do with buying some top up oil, Mobil 1 ESP looks a good choice, but I have no idea what oil is in there at the moment (it's the oil used when supplying new vehicles, it's only done 4k). Does it matter if I use Mobil 1 ESP anyway?

Regards,

Richard.

Assuming that your vehicle is on variable service intervals it will have been factory filled with a lubricant meeting spec VW507.00. Mobil ESP also meets this spec so no probs!

Mobil 1 ESP will be fine for your car regardless of what service interval you are on.

As stated it meets VW507/504 so can be used.

I'll be supplying it to my dealer for the next service to save a bit of money on oil costs.

My local dealer has been supplying me with Mobil 1 ESP as a top up since I've had the car. However, another dealer who I've started using recently supplied me Shell Helix for top up, and for less money than the Mobile. :)
