Sony Alpha 200 DSLR - any good?

Featured Replies

It seems that Jessops aren't looking too good for long term survival , so if you aren't in a hurry you could wait and see what happens there.......

Update! 1 x Sony Alpha 350 with the 18-70mm lens, CF card, Case and Tabletop tripod is on it's way! Fingers crossed it will arrive tomorrow! Woohoo!

Hmm. I guess it didn't arrive today? Either that or you're too busy taking photos :D

Oh ye of little faith!!!

It arrived today woohoo! Been playing with it and already want bigger lenses!!:P:D

Photography day out anyone?? Fluffmeister, have you got your new toy sussed yet?

Got back late on Friday so just recovering ready for work tonight. I took the 350 to Friday night and took the 350 to Florida with me. I never really got much time to play with it and ended up using it on Auto most of the time for "Holiday snaps".

I am taking it to work this week so am going to play around in the evening's with the camera and tripod, beats the hotel bar I suppose :)

Here's a couple I took with the 350 on holiday, I will post some better ones up once I have looked at them, converted / cropped them. So far I am really impressed with it though.

Really fao of Buster or any other alpha users, this site is a great resource for us to help get to grips with the camera. I just ordered his book as it looked really useful.

Sony Alpha and Minolta SLR weblog

Here's the link to the book :)Amazon.com: Sony Alpha DSLR-A300/A350 Digital Field Guide: Tom Bonner: Books

Ordered it last week, but Amazon are dragging their heels over sending it  Not one to sound impatient, but I WANT IT NOW!!!:P

Took it out for a play yesterday round Turton Tower and Jumbles reservoir, realised I need to get a Grey or polarising filter, to sort out the skies.

Fancy a trip with the cameras? Could do with a map reader, as Tom Tom is more of a Sat Nag than a Sat Nav!
