Service Checksheets

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Is it normal/expected for Skoda dealers to provide a checksheet of all work carried out during a service? The Mazda dealers I used with my last car always provided one, just wondering what the norm is with Skoda...

Cheers,

Richard.

If private, then yes.

If lease, generally this goes to the lease firm. Which is a bugger for making sure they've done the right stuff, and not bowed to lease firm pressure to curb costs over reliability/safety.

I got one for my first service a couple of weeks ago.

Would you mind posting it up (minus any personal info of course!)? I'd like to see one...

I'll see what I can do.

There wasn't all that much on it tbh.

Also got a print out of the computer (VAGCOM I guess) showing no faults.

This is what I got.

Says 20k service but it was done at about 14k.

Also says 2008 model but I bought the car new 18 months ago.

Nah we dont use VAG COM ;)

That is a service sheet as printed off from ELSA, the only sheets we have these days.

And lease companies tell us what we should change these days and how much we can charge for it.

Thanks for that.

Seems a bit basic to my eye though, can't see air filter or fuel filter or things like that on there. Am I missing them? What about the cambelt?

Or are there different sheets for different services?

With Mazda a single sheet covered all services, I'm just trying to get used to VAG's way of doing things!

I was told the air and pollen filters were getting done in this service.

I agree it looks basic.

Possible because I was getting this service for free with the deal I bought the car on the main sheets have gone to Skoda to get payment.

I would scan in one of my MX-5 sheets but I gave them away with the car (I didn't give the car away, mind!).

Those sheets had the individual jobs listed in a column on the left, pretty much everything was covered from cambelt to filters to valve clearance checks etc, the top row detailed the service interval. Each individual "square" would be ticked (or not ticked) if a particular job was to be carried out at a particular service interval. Was pretty thorough and straightforward!

With that sheet you provided though, how can I cross-check that everything listed in the service book/guide has actually been done? I notice though that there is a list of boxes for ticking in the service book too, Mazda didn't have this. Perhaps the combination of the sheet you provided plus the tick boxes in the service book give the whole picture as to what work has been carried out?
