Car Covers for the 5Dr....

Featured Replies

Tried a search and haven't seen anything, unless a more detailed search would work.

Does anyone have or could you recommend a cover I could use on my car. Also what sort of price would a good quality one cost. Not exactly made of money at the moment...

Thanks.

any car cover will scratch the paint. Your car would have to be clinically clean before putting the cover on, what are the chances of that? The tiniest amount of dirt which is stuck to the cover will scratch, not just in one place, but when you position the cover. Then theres the issue of the cover constantly moving in the wind.

Hmmm this is true. I'm hoping the occasion I may want to use it will be after having washed, and hopefully polished it. Unless I can sort somewhere undercover instead, I have to ask.

whats the reason for wanting to cover it? a cover also traps moisture in, you'll could end up doing more harm than good.

It's mostly a thought at the moment due to a special event coming up. Thinking of cleaning the car and then covering it for use the next day.

To be honest, you'd be better getting up a couple of hours earlier than taking the risk. :):)

Is now looking like a better option anyway. Going to see if I can alter my plans slightly. Only thing is I've a 100 mile journey to factor in...lol

 This is true, been awake between about 2am and 4am the last few nights. Got him some new bottles so hopefully will help him out.

Thinking now I'll stay up late the previous night and sort car. Then touch up on the day. I'll get back to this thread in April..

Thanks for your comments.
