i might be getting myself a Fabia soon but one of the first things to be done would be to paint the chrome part of the front grille as IMO it doesnt suit the car

any pics of them done in various colours ?

The picture by my username is the standard chrome bit painted silver and the skoda badge replaced with a VRS Badge. Sorry i dont have a bigger picture, thats the only one i have.

I'm pretty sure someone on here has their grille surround painted black but I'm not sure who it is now.

Does look good in black though.

under the chrome is white ish plastic...no need to remove chrome just make sure its keyed with 3-400 wet n dry 1st.

No nasty chrome paint chips

to get the chrome off is a biatch took 2 weeks for mines sitting ouside in an old bin full of concentrated bleach (eats the chrome)

i see the reds look fantastic in body colour, not sure silver would be the same though

I just rubbed down the chrome till it was dull - have no probs at all. WHole thing took me 2 evenings to get off, done and back on the car (with the help of a hairdryer between coats)

Anywho - I still think u need the missP school of thought with paint... its only paint... if it blows, paint it again!!! Mine was pink to start with as the paint was wrong, so i just painted over it. Experiment and do summat different
