I'm after a Genuine boot mat for my Octy vRS (hatch).

I've decided to go for the Rubber/Material one as it looks nicest. I'm unsure as to whether it fits mine or not though? An ad I've seen says the following

DCD610001A - Suitable For: New Octavia Hatch

Information: Suitable for vehicles with four luggage hooks only

I can't get to my car to check for a while (away) so can someone tell me if a 58 Plate vRS is suitable for this?

I've just bought one of the genuine ones off ebay, it says for Octy hatch 05 > so should be OK;

Same price as from a dealer, but free postage and I haven't had to order one, wait for deleivery, then go fetch it from 20 miles away.

Fits my 56 VRS perfectly, ideal for keeping the grass and mud from my golf gear from ruining the carpet.

I had one for my 56 plate VRS and it fits great. Can not see why it would not fit your 58 plate VRS since the car has not changed in the last 2 years. As above it is a great product and keeps the carpet looking good. I did not go for one of the plastic ones as I through it would mean things sliding around in the boot more and making more noise.

Fair enough rangrat, but playing devil's advocate, I bet your ebay one doesn't have a two year warranty on it.

That and it may already have been used so needs wear & tear to take into account.

do you really need a warranty on something like this?

Possibly not and it obviously depends on what you're using it for, but it's nice to have it for no extra cost? You ask my boxer dog in the photo, the one with great big feet & thick claws, whether he'd like to scratch the **** out of it and i'm sure he would.

Well yes it would be nice to have, from what you describe I am sure Skoda will wriggle out of paying any warranty

It's a new mat, was advertised as new, and arrived new in the Skoda packaging.

I would be amazed that anyone would offer a warranty on a mat. Its' only 50 quid FFS!

Besides the ebay seller are a Skoda dealer in Mansfield, so I should have the same protection as if I walked in and bought it from them?

If it's from a dealer then it will be warrantied. If it's Mansfield, that would make it Rainworth which is where I bought my Octy from, oronically.

Standard policy for any Skoda accessory is a two year warranty, three years if bought at the time of purchase of a new car.
