Cured an annoying squeak!

Featured Replies

Since buying my car I have been plagued by a seriously annoying squeak which occurred every time I went over the slightest bump - it was coming from the back seat area and really detracting from my enjoyment of the car and annoying the girlfriend too, haha! So yesterday I got so wound up with it I went over the car with a fine toothcomb looking for anything loose or wobbly and couldn't find anything obvious, but noticed that the back seats on one side weren't locked into place properly. That couldn't be it... could it?! 'CLICK'. Result - the squeak is no more! It sounds pretty strange but I like the car so much more now! :D

Er... I think I just clicked it back into place... why?

I have exactly the same problem :(.

Initially it was coming from right rear area, then from the left.

I have found, that squeaking is gone with the rear backrests in position down.

Could not find the source yet...
