boot door

Featured Replies

hey guys.

Now as everyone knows the felly's boot door rusts like hell.

WHY?

But mine is really getting bad, i think this year or next year it needs replacing.

I was looking on butt of baw. they only list 2 types hatch, and pick-up.

But is it painted? it doesn't matter i can get it sprayed.

SO the estate model MUST be the same as the hatch model, and the man in the scrapyard was lying to me about them being different. There would be a part no. for it otherwise!

Anyone bought a new one? thing is I wont find a L&K coloured one in a scrappy., and most of them are rotted through too. So new is the only option.

I believe on the Favorit the hatchbacks were exactly the same as the estate, only the car was lengthened. I would guess the same is true of the Felicia. If you get new it will only be primed ready to paint. Also, I thought Butts of Bawtry didn't sell Skoda bits anymore.

How far gone is yours? Is cavity wax to help stop it rusting further, wire brushing, rust converter, some filler in the holes, and splashes of paint an option?

well its bubbled badly on the outside, but its really bad inside, and now there is a small hole i can see through. It is a tiny hole, but its there.

I dont want to go poking it about with filler, because i think i will make it worse.

Thing is when people see it, they think its alright to go up to my rust and poke it

Leave it alone, you dont have to live with the constantly wet door on the inside. so you cant see bugger all. :thumbdwn: in the winter at least.

I had no idea they stopped doing skud parts.

The hatch and estate are the same, only hard bit about swopping them over is the wiring for wiper, and lights, try jorily or a scrappy
