vRS DSG

Featured Replies

WAs looking at one in the dealership today, got a question.

If you have 3 pedels...........all three are the same polsition (height) off the floor. With the DSG i noticed that its hinged on the floor like the old VW's but it was set much lower to floor.

If you needed to brake you need to move your foot off the floor re-polistion it, where as with a my old vRS (And ever other car i had) just lift your foot and pivot about your heel.

Can you adjust the height of the foot brake to bring level with gas padel?

Mike

All Octavia II cars (and all A5 chassis cars) have floor mounted accelerator pedals. DSG or otherwise.

I never however have to reposition my right foot, I pivot just fine. But not you cant adjust the height of the brake pedal.

I never however have to reposition my right foot, I pivot just fine.

Same here after driving a couple of different Octy II's.

A mate just came round with his Octy T/D with DSG..............Just driven it............must admit i managed it ok..............i wonder WHY i couldn't in the Show room car?

Mike

Use your left foot for braking :thumbup: takes a bit of practice but once you get used to it it feels weird doing it the 'old' way :P
