Connecting and controlling MP3 player

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have an 07 VRS with IPod prep (aux jack in the jumbo box). What will I need in order to be able to play and control an MP3 player (Ipod or other) through the existing radio controls. Also, will the track info be shown on the radio screen?

Thanks!

The aux in jack is audio only (you'll still have to control everything from the ipod itself). If you want more control, you'll need one of the aftermarket interfaces that replace the CD changer in the boot, or FM transmitter/modulator etc. etc.

I don't think there's any solution available (yet) that will get the track info onto the head unit's screen. Try searching here for more info - this has been covered loads of times before.

Dension Ice link ;)

will the denison allow you to play ipod vids 'on the move'?

The other neat thing you can do is if you have a iphone and plug into the aux jack in jumbo box, when you get a incoming call it will play though the speakers! and you can talk back to the mic on iphone, as it picks up you talking in the same level as if you have 'speakerphone' on... All in all very neat:) a handsfree for a price of a cable:D, worth the trade off but not having track info and been able to change songs etc display on radio unit i think.
