Did the mk1 octy have rear speakers?

Ours hasn't got any??

Where can I find the wires for them, im assuming they still have wires going to the back.

I've got some old front speakers from the felicia i can fit.

Unless someone has a better idea, what size are the standard ones?

what model of octy is it? all models but the classic have speakers in the rear doors, none came with speakers in the qtr panel trims or parcel shelf. not really a stereo tech but i assume you could just run the speaker cable from the front speaker cable and route it through to the back of the car, under the carpet etc?

I noticed speaker holes in the doors by the handle, next to the lecy window button.

But I cant hear anything out of them.

Also next to the parcel shelve on either side trim there is grills and underneeth their are screw holes to screw speakers in, so I assumed they had been taken out.

Looking at Furby wiring diagram - the various speakers are fed from the unit ,with outputs for L/R and Front/Rear etc

But diag don't say if different spec cars have differing unitsfitted ,and ain't got my audio manual to hand .The Haynes book shows a changer ,though this probably is detected by the unit as plug n play ????

i have an elegance too, mine has 8 speakers - 4 in front doors ( 2 mids and 2 tweeters- the tweeters are the ones you mention by the handles) and 4 in the rear doors (same again) the tweeters only transmit very high frequency sound so you probably won't hear much out of them, although if you were to unplug one while music is playing you will hear the difference. not sure if mine has the grilles either side of the parcel shelf though, will have to have a look!

A lot of people disconnect the rear tweeters (the speakers by the handle) as it gives a better sound to front passengers because they are to close to your ears. The main speakers are on the door in the footwell area

What size speakers will fit in the rear doors without any modding?

I wouldnt mind shoving a spare set I have in mine if the wires are already in place.

Anyone know if there is wiring in the boot, for rear speakers?

How can you get 4 speakers in the doors? do you mean 2 per door?

Oh and are there woofers in the back doors?

On the headunit if I direct the sound to the rear, there is no sound, so as you say they could have been disconnected, But I find it strange they have grills and bolt holes on the trim pannels if they are door speakers only.
