I almost went rambo on my fabia...

Featured Replies

Popped out to get a crimbo tree and after i'd magically got it to fit in the boot, i noticed the nearside rear door was still locked when i'd opened em all with the remote. tried again... didn't move it. tried the drivers lock controls... nothing would move that one doors pin.

I was at this point already dreading the extra cost to get this sorted (already had to buy 2 new tyres and having problems with very notchy gear changes atm). Then when I was driving home I remembered the missus locking the car with the offside rear door open, which i closed right afterwards.

I got home, opened the nearside rear door, locked and unlocked with the remote and tada! it moved.

Has anyone else come across this before? Seems pretty stupid! :(

Probably put the deadlock system out of sync by locking car with a door open.

lucky you, i went out to do the christmas tree run in the van (4 trees!) came back with the 1st one and a guy in a brand new A3 cabriolet had locked his keys in the boot!!!!

Car was still there an hour later after i'd done all i was there for, front doors still unlocked! anyone know how to start an audi with no keys? might still be there:)

Moral of the story: christmas trees and cars don't mix!

lol smash the window, retrieve keys, start engine?

It didn't pop up again this morning when i unlocked it. did some more door opening/locking/unlocking/door closing sequences and it seemed to sort it properly this time. Think the missus must of dead locked it by accident then i closed the door or something... who knows!

I think its more of a women + cars = trouble thing ;)

The old mechanics joke: "If it's got boobs or wheels, it will cause you problems" :D
