Washer jets!!!!!!!!

Featured Replies

Anyone else's rear waher jets stopped working ?

On my old 1.2 fabia comfort it was any easy fix , but i can't seem to sort it out on my VRS ???, any ideas welcome !

Got a wet boot?

Pipe will have come off at the pump or at the jet.

In the fabia it tends to split in the engine bay near the bulkhead, there is a pipe join the pops off when the contents freeze.

Its on the right hand side of the engine (if you look at it from the front) if you put your hand in between the cylinder head and the airbox towards the bulkhread you wont be a million miles away, join the two pipes together with a click and off you go.

Next time increase your screenwash ratio ;)

thanks, mines not working either

Joins where they come off.

Pump (n/s of front bumper)

N/S Chassis leg under airbox/ABS pump

N/S rear 1/4 panel, inside not far from the seat belt reel

Tailgate, connection onto wiper motor.

Failing that could be a blocked jet.

Get some neon ones - then it wont happen ;)

I had a new variation - I used the washwipe when it was frozen, and subsequently had no washer jet. On investigation the nozzle had got twisted and was pointing downwards!

mine had popped off at the boot so ive put that back on, however its popped off somewhere under the engine bay aswell and i cant find it !

any pics ?

Thanks for the help guys !!!!! Top advice as usual !!

Mine has popped off near the bulkhead, just got to sort it out at the weekend, keeps doing it, this time I accidently pressed the switch to far forward and pop........Oh blast I said...

N/S Chassis leg under airbox/ABS pump

The white one is doing this at the moment. :D Got front wash/wipe at least.

Same same

Remembered I had read the cure on here

entered rear washer in search and there were the photos, of where and what, two minutes and fixed

The bulkhead about six inches to the right of centre at top of engine height, voila click together and job done

National search is a wonderful thing :-)

Hello

I was wondering are there 2 pumps or one pump doing 2 operations on the Fabia VRS washer bottle.?

In effect, one pump or one operation for the front and again for the rear.?

Thank you for any info.

Ian.

Well the mrs managed to do both our vRS's last winter in the same week by using the washers when they were still frozen!!!!!:eek::eek:

On my car the hose popped off in the boot so the dealer popped the trim off and refitted it in 10mins. On her car it was a little more difficult.... She popped the hose at the joint going into the bulkhead in the engine bay which i tried to do myself but couldn't get it to reconnect properly. The dealer had to order a new joint and replaced the joint going through the bulkhead.

With regard where the joint in the engine bay is........ It behind the engine on the bulkhead just to the right hand side of the engine and the easiest way to check if it's leaking is to get someone to use the washers (front or rear) whilst you look into the open engine bay.

Cheers

Dave.
