white spirit on a cotton wool ball will remove it straight off, providing the marks are on original factory paint

A bit of diesel on a rag should do it. The car's paint is water based, so no problems there.

If it were only light overspray polishing clay was your answer.

Try also Fast Glass by Autoglym, a small spray into area, then leave... followed by some wax etc. Work for with Sadalin varnish. By the way Fast Glass is wonderful product inside and out!

Duraglit Brasso wadding will do it too, followed by body wax

make sure you wax the affected body panel afterwards as the cleaning will remove the wax
