Hi People

Here is my puzzling problem.

My TDi Fabia is suberb untill about 65mph in 5th gear when the power suddenly drops off. As if the turbo suddenly cuts out. The power does not return at any speed until I stop the car and turn the engine off. Once it is started again it is fine and has normal good power until the dreaded 65ish mph in 5th. Strange.

I have pushed the engine in different gears and seams fine?!

I have replaced the fuel and air filter.

It feels like a fuel starvation or computer problem but would like some ideas please.

get the codes read. It may sticking a VNT mechanism.

Welcome. Hope you get it sorted.

It cutting out is just limp mode. There will be a fault code or two on the ECU so worth getting it read to see where the problem lies. If you're near me in Devon I would do it.

Well after reading the biodiesel thing that could be the problem.

Hiya mate. If you post in the relevant Fabia 1 or 2 section, and include which engine you've got (capacity and tune) and whether the issue is road or engine speed related, I'm sure someone will be able to help.
