boost gauge help needed

Featured Replies

Need help on choosing a boost gauge guys, i want one that suits the rest of the octy standard dash (ie with a green back light, with black and silver face). I have a modified vent with a standard 52mm hole to mount it in.

I have been looking for ages and want to fit one over christmas

any info or pics would help alot

cheers

Dave

P.S. my car is only running standard boost so a gauge with a short scale would be better.

Get a Racetech one. They are accurate and you can replace the bulb for a green one. The face is black with white digits.

awesome gti have some nice gauges on there website might be worth a look, and pretty good prices if i remember correctly

If the wallet will stretch to it I would get one of these. I think they now do a custom one for the Octavia 1. I'm seriously considering it. Check out Race Diagnostics Ltd - Home

Here it is.

How about the new Autometer GS series:

They have a black face and are backlit in green at night, they also do a 20 psi version.

that race diagnostics looks very good. has anyone got one? and do you need to run any extra sensors or is it all done through the OBD2 port? any extra info on this would be great. it certainly looks like it could be worth the money.

All the info and power comes via the obd2 port and sensors integrated into the unit.

The one above is the first to be built and will be delivered to a forum member in the next days. I guess he will give a report.

There is a 0-35psi (no vacuum) guage in Autometer GS series with a 270 degree sweep.
