What happens if the dealer cant fix it?

Featured Replies

Out of interest, what happens if the car is under warrenty and the dealer can't fix the problem? Skoda step in?

Dealer isn't sure what's wrong with my car so far, and it got me wondering. Fingers crossed it's back in time for xmas.

What are the symptoms?

Its the low pressure fuel system, engine cut out, fault light comes on. Thread further down the list. Was just wondering what happens if the dealer can't find the fault how it normally gets resolved. (Other than my suggestion to the dealer of a empty car park, a can of petrol and a lit rag.) Not at this stage yet, more for reference than anything.

if they cant solve it they usually escalate it to head office and one of their bods come down to look at it.

The dealer should call in 'Area Tech' if they can't fix it.

Of course you can take the matter into your own hands and go to a different dealer.

Another option is to ring half a dozen dealers and ask if they know what the problem is. If they do, then you can either visit them or ask your local dealer to contact them.

You can contact SUK and ask them to have the vehicle examined by the 'Area Tech'.
