cruise controll

Featured Replies

is there any body near southampton who can fit cruise controll on a octavia 1 tdi estate. iv been quoted this from skoda seems a bit steep when you can get the parts off ebay for £65-£75. ibet gsf is about the same

Probably can get it cheaper, but it's not a 5 minute job. Dash panel, wipers, plenum cover, airbag, steering wheel, splicing wiring in etc if I recall right.

Greg.

Where abouts in the country are you?

£200 for a cruise retrofit isn't that far off the mark in all honesty.

Send VRS_Stu on here a message and I'd guess he can probably knock about £50 off the price of that. (Seem to remember that being hte price about 2 years ago)

It's not a simple job and the steering wheel and airbag has to come off, plus the car be programmed to know it has the system.

im southampton in hampshire

Cost me about £140 to a TDI. Got the parts myself from VAG-PARTS, and got my local VAG independent to fit them.

I'm sure VRStu would sort you out, he's in Hampshire too :)

Thats if he still does them of course. Drop him a PM.

To be fair I'd say £205 for a main dealer to do the job is an incredibly good price :)

Out of interest does anyone know how much it was as a factory option?

I'd say £205 is a good price for a main dealer given the current labour rates. Wonder if they realise how long it will take them!!

Give me a shout if you get stuck and we'll sort something out.

Awesome do a great deal on cruise control supplied and fitted, under 150 quid infact. Top draw service and good cuppas. !!!
