just had email from Skoda UK to cay that there are two vehicle shipments to the UK at the end of this week. They say they anticiapte my vehicle will be on UK shores by mon 22nd. they did say this is not guaranteed.

so if it does arrive then do i rush down and collect it before xmas or do i wait until jan ?

To be honest, i know you have been waiting for a long time, so to wait for the new year isn't much longer. Gives James longer to polish it and brim the tank for you

I will wait ! just getting excited now that the car exists and is no longer a line on a computer screen !

No, normal behaviour as far as I'm concerned. I still pop into my dealers to look at the Rosso SE they've got, even though I've ordered an Elegance in the same colour, but with Ivory not black. I'm still doing it, even though they've just changed premises and it means an extra eight miles round trip!

Well Ray, Looks like we are getting very similar cars and around the same time? Mine will be a 170CR manual, colour as above but with black carpets/ Ivory leather. Same as yours?

Mine's a 170CR DSG Elegance with the addition of the uprated sound system, Park Assist, Themisto wheels, heated washer jets, auto-dimming mirror (Grrrr... should be standard on a car of this spec), wood trim, Ivory leather with Ivory carpets and dark textile floor mats (as in my current Octy Elegance), boot nets, mud flaps all round and Supaguard inside and out. Hopefully, January 16th.

Virtually identical to mine then, inc options: just gearbox, auto-dim mirror (don't care for those), and carpet colour different.

If I get mine earlier than the 16th I'll try to drag myself away and post some pics (weather permitting!)

Well Jonathan I hope you find it as much "well worth waiting for" as mine was (I am sure you will )! I have had a number of compliments on the colour too !

Steel Grey

Manual Gearbox

Ivory Mats (as well as Carpet and Seats)

Variable Boot Floor (+ no nets - can get them later)

Rear Air Bags

We got the Dealer to throw in the AutoGlym Equivalent of Supaguard along with four free full valets per year for as long as I own the car. I also got the Mudflaps free.
