Anyone know how much a rear light cluster is and maybe where to get one cheap?

Featured Replies

I've just slipped with the wheely bin and shattered it (near side). I'm driving to France on the 27th so I need it before then. There's one from a breaker on ebay but it's in Ireland so I'm not convinced it'll get here in time. Cheers!

Dealer is the only place really, should be able to get one for the next day usually.

Yeah I saw that, but for that price it won't be an O/E part so I'd be worried about it not looking / fitting 100% right. Dunno if that's justified?

I've always found Skospares in Dorset to be most helpful.

That was for Mk1 bits mind you, but they're probably still worth a call.

£33 from Bickertons in Sheffield, should have it tomorrow. Result! This is a strange thing this, I saw the same when my mate smashed a rear light on his Vauxhall - you look around the internet, GSF / Eurocar Parts, breakers, ebay etc and they're really expensive compared to the dealer for things like this. Same with oil - I got a good price on my last lot of oil from Opie Oils, then found it was considerably cheaper still at Bickertons.

EDIT - Had quoted me on a Fabia ex VAT, price inc VAT for the Octy II one was £48 but they had it in stock so I picked it up and just did it.

Fitting notes - Dead easy ~ 10 mins. They're secured by four 8mm hex nuts, which I undid with a short ratchet driver. Two of are accesible through the flap in the trim and two by pulling the trim away from under the boot lid seal.
