Best place to buy panels

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm considering buying an accident damaged 2004 MK1 Octavia VRS I have seen. How easy to obtain and what sort of price are you looking at for a front bumper? I would also need a drivers front wing. Silver would be great.

hi there. i recently purchased a vrs front bumper for my octy, and paid around £110 for the bumper, £20ish for the moulding, £20ish for all 3 bumper grilles and £5 for the little trim pieces which fit on the o/s and n/s bumper grilles. all this was from my local vw dealer. the wings are easily available for around £60, again from a dealer. steer clear of cheap pattern panels as they are poor quality and don't fit at all. or you could scour ebay or local breakers and get the panels secondhand - preferably in the same colour! avoid cat c write offs, and find a cat d - a lot less hassle to put back on the road! hth:thumbup:

Parts will be easy to source via breakers, Insurance cos are writing off a lot of lightly damaged cars at the moment due to low values so theres plenty of bits out there. Its just a case of trawling the net. Skospares ae agreat place to start & wont rip you off but you may well find cheaper if you care to spend the time on the net
