Rear doors wont lock!

Featured Replies

I've posted this in the VAGCOM section too, but i think it is possibly more appropriate in here

A month ago i took my car to Jabba for them to activate one press unlock all doors and the anti hi-jack feature. Now this is where i dont know if the events are connected. Today i locked my car as normal but then came back out and opened the back door without thinking to unlock it and the door opened, setting the alarm off. So thinking i had done something wrong i shut the door, locked the car again and again the door opened!

So i tried all the doors whilst the car was locked and the front doors were locked, the back doors were open! Is it possible that on VAGCOM its been accidentally altered to do this, I dont know wether to take the car to skoda (its under warranty) or to take it to Jabba as i know that it wasnt like this before it went to Jabba

Thanks for any help!

I had this problem after i had a play about with the settings.

I switched on the one click opening, changed my alarm settings etc.

Got my tints done and the guy was checking the doors and told me my rear dors were not locking.

Had another play about with VAS.

The car for some reason was thinking it only had 3 doors instead of the 5.

You will need to re-pogramme the convenience and tell the car it has 5 doors.

It only takes 2 mins with the VAS 5051/52 (or vag com) machine if you know what your doing.

do you know how to do this?

Ive taken the car to Jabbasport and to Skoda and neither can find the problem, how do you re-program it to 5 door?

Well i did exactly the same to mine. All i had done was change the code to a different one. Luckily i had scanned the car 1st and it had saved the original code so just swapped it back. it was the main code for the central convienience.

Hope this helps

I cant remember exactly, it was a wee while ago.

I dont have acess to comuters now, so i cant tell you exactly how.

Into convenience control unit and programme all the settings back in.

Sure its the basic settings.

Sorry i cant be of more helf.

Find it wierd that the dealer cant sort it.

It's all done from the coding, from here:

VW Polo (9N) Comfort System - Ross-Tech Wiki

A code for a four door with two electric windows and global unlocking would be 00064 + 02 = 00066, with single door unlock 00067.
