Picking up the Octavia tomorrow night

Featured Replies

Just thought I would say hello. Should be picking my wifes Octavia VRS up tomorrow night. Having looked around the forum, I have fount that this was VRSpete's up until recently (yellow with 18" Superleggera's). Went to see it last night, and it was very nice (apart from the old mounting points for aftermarket spoiler). Anyway's my wife is really looking forward to the VRS, after spending the last year with a Mondeo 115 :(

Im also looking forward to it, as it is the family car, and therefore I will be driving it a lot :)

I just hope it isn't quicker than my car, or there will be trouble.

Thanks very much everyone, and you may ask :)

DC5 Integra Type R, should be an interesting drive home tonight as my brother will drive the DC5 whilst I drive the VRS ;)

Hello and Welcome to Briskoda.

I have always been a fan of the DC5 Integra Type R - Would you happen to be on the Type R forum by any chance?

Just take it steady boys ;)

Yep, I am also on that forum. Although I am preferring this one at the moment as there is much more activity. If you get 8 users on at a time on the itr forum, it becomes a record :)

We will do ;)

Well we got home in one piece. Had a few spirited driving moments and it is close. VRS has bags of torque and pulls away at first, but then it needs to change gear before it runs out of puff, and the DC5 just keeps going at that point. Close though. Thankfully this means that I won't require a supercharger for the DC5, as I could not have handled Vicki having a faster car than me.

Oh and the hose from the turbo to the manifold popped off just as we got back to our home town, so we had to limp back home. Found it, once we had some light, but I will have to sort that after work (much to my wifes disgust).

Yep thats the one. It does look like it will be a pig to get to, but im sure we will sort it out. It was just as my brother was letting off, after going down the M69 at a brisk pace. No worries anyway, these things happen. I thought it had had new speakers recently :D

Thanks again

Mark

Hi Everyone

I have to say I am absolutely gutted I cant drive the octavia yet. If I wasn't looking after our 2 little boys on my own today I'd be out there trying to fix the hose back on myself! :)

I am really looking forward to driving a car with a bit more power again. The DC5 mark drives was originally mine (he had a TT Supra) but we both sacrificed our cars for another baby.

Santa certainly spoilt me this year!

:D

My Wife will be pleased it went to another Lady owner... As i said to Mark hope you really enjoy it and any questions just drop me a pm...

Have a great xmas

Pete

Thanks Pete

Merry Christmas everyone!
