Leak from A-pillar on Octy vRS

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have noticed some water getting in around the A-pillar on my car, and inside the car itself.

With the door open you can see where its got in, its just after the "folded" part on the incline of the window (i.e. nearer the top of the car door). Its on both sides.

However, only on the passenger side have I seen evidence of water inside the cabin.

Its only a tiny amount, but its disconcerting and shouldnt be that way on a new car.

Is there a quick DIY fix or does the car need to go back and have the whole seal replaced?

thanks

New seals. And open the doors from time to time, so that they don't age compressed and become brittle/ineffective.

edit: Try rubbing the seals with some glycerin and pinching them so they come back to the rounder shape. More effective in a heated garage.
