Boost Pressure for Allard VT2 Turbo

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was just wondering what boost pressure those with an Allard VT2 Turbo run at (normal and overboost). As I have one and am getting the car remapped next week to make the most of it.

Cheers,

Neil

not sure of the VT2 but my VT5 runs at 2 bar

that may be of help or not but thought i would try lol

When I ran the VT2 the boost pressure was set to 1.8 bar by Jabbasport which seemed to give the best results (221bhp), but my VT5 runs around 1.9 bar but am going for a remap to around 2.2 bar sustained boost. I would say anything over 1.8 bar is probably pushing the VT2 unnecessarily. :)

My turbo dynamics stage 2 peaks at just over 2.1 and comes down to about 1.9

Ok so around 1.8 with a 1.9 Overboost should be ok. Cool, Mapping session here I come

What Torque did it mate when running 221bhp? And thanks for the response :)

My torque was 360 lb/ft, and it made exactly the same on the new turbo, but with an extra 40bhp.

Hoping for over 400 lb/ft with the new retune in the new year. :)
