is it worthwhile?

Featured Replies

I got a kestrel DA from santa ....woop woop :)..anyway, been using it today, fantastic..question is, I finished using ag srp, and it looks fantastic, but is it worthwhile putting on another coat, or should I just go to sealant then wax?

:wrthless:

I think it's worthwhile.

Yea - get some pics up

I got the Kestrel DAS-6 too - although not tried it yet.

What pads did you use? And did you use any other polish before the srp?

Put on sealeant and then wax it. Recommend Collinite 476 wax - it's very durable and will see you through the winter.

You would have probably better using another polish - something designed specifically for using with a machine. AG SRP has fillers in it which will mask the true finish.

I used megs speed glaze with the polishing pad first, then ag with the finishing pad. I've got some wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant, then some vics concourse to finish

that should do the job.

I eventually decided to put another coat of Ag on..really just another excuse to play with my new kestrel :)..it did make a considerable difference, so this weekend it's going to be a couple of coats of wolfgang, and the following weekend a couple of coats of vics..whoop whoop

Nice job

Just some words of advice, cover your registration plate if posting pickies, scammers are every where :(

mmmm glad i've seen this as i'am wanting to endeavour into the world of machine polishing, but just wondered if the Kestrel was a contender compared to the higher prices G220 and porter...

as i'm always a little wary of a product that is quite a bit cheaper than the competitor's... having said that we are driving bargain car's arent we ;)
