Featured Replies

HI Folks

Cant see the answer to my question so here it is again sorry if its been answered.

Ive just bought an mfd 2 a dvd player and a navi multi media interface,

It has 3 wires brown (earth) red (12v+) and yellow which says 12+ over a switch to watch on the move.

I know its illegal but just for my own benefit just so i know if you know what i mean where would i connect the yellow wire to

Im going to fit it all on Mon so there will prob be more question so i will say sorry the now

Regards Whoosh

It's not as simple as that on an MFD2 as it gets speed signals over CAN BUS. You need to get the unit's firmware modified if you want TV on the move.

Yes Ive bought an mfd2 out of a 2006 vrs to fit into my 2006 vrs .

I have also bought a dvd player single din and a multi media interface to hook the dvd player to the mfd2.

i had heard you can keep the dvd playing when the car is moving was just wondering how you did it

Yes, to do that you have to get the firmware in the MFD2 hacked otherwise the screen will blank at 5ish mph, it's nothing to do with the DVD player it's the MFD2 that's blanking it out.

I'm in the middle of this at the moment..

From what i beleive the multimedia interface receives its own seperate power-supply. When activated via the switch on the yellow wire, it bypasses the mfd2 firmware and all other inputs i.e, Radio, Tele, Aux, Navi, Map and displays whatever is being put through the interface, in this case a dvd...

I've a few questions myself about the wiring and the most suitable way to do this both safely and efficiently.
