You can probably get the effect you need by adjusting the side rubber triangles.Just undo both so everything is loose and slowly adjust up (slides) until tight enough. You might find that one needs a bit more than the other.

You can do the above or adjust the latch that is fixed to the car (Not the Boot lid)

The above method will tighten the boot up but if the latch is mal adjusted it can make it sit a little further/lighter on the rubber seal & may allow water to get past.

Remove the plastic cover & then remove the rubber dirt /dust shield. You will see two star type bolt heads, (Can't remember the Size).

All you need to do then is slacken the bolts slightly & move a v small amount towards the inside of the car (As such) equally, by applying a small amount of pressure either side whilst pushing Etc.

Re-Tighten & check the boot operation, It should shut with a Firm Push, Not a slam, Once that is achieved, You may have to repeat/Undo a few times Etc, Put the Rubber shield & cover back on.

You can check for a good fitment by pushing down on either corner of the boot lid for movement Etc.

If you go to far & you are shuting the boot properly ( Not Slaming it) it will not shut,, so you know you need to back it up a little, You may need to combine the above post, Re sliders also to get the perfect fit/seal.

Brillant thanks for that, will try at the weekend, hopefully it cures my problems.

Small bump, this is a great mini-tutorial.

What is the name and size of the star shaped tool required for this job, please, and where would be the best place to obtain one?

But a good Motor factors will stock & or be able to get you a kit just like the Sealey one below, Which is quite a good price ;)
