Phone Cradle

Featured Replies

Could people post pics up of any phone cradles they have installed?

I'm wanting a phone cradle as a possible alternative to getting a proper SatNav (use phone for satnav, already working but propped up in front of gearstick!).

I don't want any marks so when its removed you can't tell it been there.

Mine came with craddle from factory and I wanted to remove it. Removing it is not a problem. I thought I would remove the craddle and just push the cable and electronics behind the radio. Then I understood I would need new fascia (radio surrounding) and new passenger silver trim. Both fascia and trim stays with holes if you remove the craddle. So I gave up and I live with it installed as it is.

You can see it on photos bellow, in my signature.

I don't know if this is what you're after -

Here's a pic of the Dashmount.co.uk leather console fitted with my old phone & holder - I've now removed the Brodit mount, and have the iPod on this. Once removed there is no evidence it was ever in place...

Get a Brodit Proclip mount and phone holder, they fit without any screws, friction and you can use double sided tape if needed: Brodit.se

example: http://www.brodit.com/montering.jsp?anr=853525 then you fit the phone mount that they sell to that.

Brodit Proclip | UK | DSLDevelopments (for example as a place to go eBay is good too)

They do a heap of Skoda mounts for the Octy , I've got one for my iPod and it's great and will come off without a mark.

ordered my brodit proclip and phone holder on 27th december. im still waiting for it now but i'll post pics eventually

I would not use a standard phone mount for a sat nav as it is far to low down. A sat nav needs to be on or above the dash so that it can be seen without moving your eyes far from the road.

Hi Andy - i have pretty much the same setup as No Waiting's pic above using the Brodit stuff. The left hand console mount is perfect for mobile phone use and tidy cabling. I also have the Brodit mount for the drivers vent above the light dial - this is fitted with the TomTom active mount. Again this works well for power via the fuse panel below and RDS-TMC routed under the plastic on the A pillar. The brodit mounts are all clipped in place and i haven't found the need to use the adhesive tape that's included. I hope this helps.
