I had my Mk II 1.8 TSi retrofitted with cruise control by the main dealer. It seemed pretty straight forward and involved a new stalk and a bit of labour. It came to around £150.

It does depend on whether you have the correct steering controller.

ok, so there is no general guide as to what models can be retrofitted?

it all depends on the specific controllers in the car?

thanks for the replies

Yes you need the correct equipment on the car.

It's not a hard and fast rule but I have found that if you have a MFSW then you are normally ok, also if the car has the onboard computer (buttons on the right stalk) you are generally ok.
