While you are at Jabbasport ask Mike to take you out in his Octavia Estate TDI, its fairly quick. :)

ooh yes, Michaels car is funny :D

Might be worth taking a look at this thread, i think devonmikeyboy sums it up perfect

We've also ran the std injectors up to 250bhp before with Mike's special hybrid :)

We used water methanol after that to top up the fueling :)

I ran a custom-code stage 1 with a stage 1 hybrid

Interesting, didn't know that. What figures did you come out with? Any graphs available :)

Please note the map was NOT done for the hybrid hardware, just a generic map for the STOCK turbo and STOCK SMIC etc.

It also shows the superchips map that *was* custom for the stage TWO hybrid (however it is likely the stage 1 hybrid would have been mapped to come 'in' a little earlier but top out roughly the same).

By all means the SC map is very mild as it was done for the engine just after fitting a replacement engine, and there was plenty of power available beyond, plus a year has passed and tuning has improved. No doubt this also includes the ability of custom-code.

I was happy with the custom code stage 1 map, and also with the superchips one, but you can tell things have moved on again :)

Cheers; just wondered how it compared to my Jabba map :)

Going to see Mr Washbrook after my turbo's fixed though....

Steve

Certainly he's a great mapper ;) - I dont think Basil has a RR printout but he's very happy with the map from him :)

IIRC also Xav has one.

The map by SC was ok and very, very conservative, both as the engine was just swapped in after my unfortunate issues with the first one it was not exactly pushed, it was gonna go in for a tweak after a stabilisation period but then I had the brake failure = no more car.

Some magic dust will be sprinkled on mine once it's settled no doubt ;)
