Connecting nokia carkit ck-7w to 2006 Octavia 2.0 tdi combi elegance

Featured Replies

Gents, today my carkit was installed by a garage mechanic. I have a 2006 Octavia 2.0 TDI elegance and a Nokia ck-7w carkit. The mechanic told me that connecting to the ignition switched power switch is not possible. Now I have to switch on my carkit connection manualy by pushing the remote control button. Also when switching off the car the carkit keeps it's power (and the connection when parked on my driveway). I do not believe him. To my opninion it must be possible to use the ignition switched power switch. Please help me.

Your answer can be found in your other post.

my ck-7w is not connected to a switched 12v supply and gives me no problems. I dont however use it for bluetooth and have my phone in a cabled cradle. it turns on when i put the phone in the cradle, and turns off 5 mins after I remove it.
