I suppose it's worth pointing out at this juncture that (for now, at least) it is entirely possible to record whatever you are listening to on Spotify (not that I'm saying anyone should do so, of course).

Funny to think that, at a stroke, it kinda makes the illegal downloading of singles largely redundant.

I just go to Help->Your Account then log in and the page that opens has some menus -> Share Spotify and then it should be possible to generate invite

I've tried that and it just says I have no more invites left, even though i haven't sent any. maybe they've stopped issuing them to new members

Give it a day or so and they'll come...

When I said initially that I'd just signed up, I was speaking figuratively and counting in Tortoise Time... a day or so had in fact elapsed.
