Difference between L&K & vRS

Featured Replies

Here in the little Denmark where I live, and cars are so expensive (55.000 € / 49.000 £ for a vRS 2.0 TFSI ) we don't have the model L&K, so when you're speaking about the L&K, i don't know the model, so I was wondering if anybody could tell me what the difference (equiment) was between the L&K and vRS. Thank You

Crikey that's a lot of money - and i thought we were getting stung in the UK! On a lighter side you can buy my VRS for half that if you like - 25,000 Euro (buyer collects) ;)

As for the difference to the L&K, i dont know a lot about that model but i think it can come with the same engne as the VRS but more of an 'executive' feel rather than 'racer' feel inside - full leather, etc.

Hi there in Denmark from Germany :)

The L&K is an uprated Elegance. It has some different trims (leather with L&K logo or leather/alcantara), but the same engines as the "normal" octavias.

The RS has the T(F)SI (was TFSI, now TSI) and 170 CR-TDI exclusively.

The L&K can be ordered with all the comfy gimmicks that are on the list. As there are the electrically adjustable seats (not an option for the RS) and the full leather trim (also no option for the RS). Therefor the RS has sportier seats in two tone trim (cloth, alcantara and leather).

DSG wasnt an option for the RS, is now (as well for the TSI as for the TDI) even with paddles (option).

Wheels, suspension and brakes are also different. (RS has the bigger brakes and sits slightly lower). Wheels are different in design and for the RS 18" is an option (except for germany, here 18" is std).

Maybe a couple of other things differ, but these are the biggest differences.

That because here in Denmark we pay 180 % in taxes for a car, so if a car cost exampel 10.000 to make, we pay 40.000 for it, and it's the same for equiment, even safety equiment.
