Definitive bulbs upgrade to match Xenons

Featured Replies

Hi all,

as far as I've read powerbulbs should be able to provide Nightbreakers H1 for main beam and a free pair of bluevisions sidelights + free worldwide shipping.

Being never satisfied, I'd like to ask you if is there a briskoda voucher/discount?

TIA

Normally when you order from PowerBulbs them send you a voucher for 10% off - all you need to do is find someone who has just ordered.... :)

20% off the night breakers at the moment at powerbulbs according to an email I got sent.

also if you do a search on Briskoda or google you should be able to find a 15% or 20% discount code to use on top of the discounted price

15% off from briskoda with this code

A pair of H7 is £18ish inc shipping & bluevision sidelights

just got all the bulbs I need to upgrade the front lights for just over thirty pounds including Osram nightbreakers H1's & H7s and two sets of philips bluevision w5ws' for the side lights and interior light upgrade.

this lot should have been nearer eighty pounds

Just occured to me I haven't bought the foglight ones to match...then again how often are they used!

it's finally started....promised myself I'd leave this car alone!....lol....the modding journey begins!

hi

So am I right in saying that the sidelights can be used as interior lights? Are they a direct replacement of do you have to modify anything. Which interior lights do they replace (is it all of them or just the map reading ones)?

Cheers

Peter

Yes you are correct, direct replacements but only for the two map reading lamps...

Also are the bulbs easy to change (both headlights and interior lights)?

It seems a silly question but I have tried on some cars and due to location it is a right pain to get access.

Map reading lamps take about 3mins to change, as for the head lamps see - Octavia-vRS.com - Changing Front Lamps - Octavia II for full details, from memory the side lights were the hardest and needed a pair of long nose pliers as my fingers were too big!

Just ordered the same as Andytfsi. Great price for all the bulbs. I should really avoid this forum as it always seems to cost me money somewhere!!!!!!!!!

Cheers for the link to the fitting guide. According to the manual the job is too difficult and should be done by a Skoda trained mechanic!!!!!!!!!! Does not look that difficult to me, so looks like I will have a job to do next weekend.

Have just bought Nightbreakers (with free sidelights) after reading remarks on Octavia II forums. Great improvement on both over standard bulbs. Just have to see how long they last now.

This is the second purchase I have made. On both occasions the bulbs arrived here the day after ordering. I made a mistake with my first order and contacted PowerBulbs on the Sunday evening (delivery was on Saturday while I was away) and was surprised to get an answer within 20 mins. That is most definitely EXCELLENT customer service. I will definitely use them again!

I agree with that (after much swearing:mad:, time & puzzlement:confused:) but the results were certainly worth it:thumbup:!
