Swedens fastest Octavia! And it's not even an Rs... ;)

Any chance of finding out what mods have been done on this - 345 bhp must mean this is quite serious

The IHI 1.8T Turbo conversion by Jabba Sport (plus some other bits) puts out similar to this - their website has some magazine articles on it. Glad I bought thte 4x4 estate now as I was originally toying with a vRS estate.

Why would you put 341 BHP in a front wheel drive car? It's just insanity.

The vRS ought to have 4WD.

Yeah, a fair bit of that power would be wasted as the car will understeer like

mad!

Either the vRS should have 4wd, or the 4x4 should have more power... :D

Rob.

345 isn't serious.

420 with 609 nm of torque is fairly serious

500 bhp is starting to get scarey

550 is just lunacy!! :D

All from your friendly turnips at Dahlback! :D

Dahlback racing do a 550bhp conversion for the octavia. What are those alloys on the red estate?

Ive seen the yellow vrs before, if you see where the front number plate is relocated, what has been done to the bit whee the old plate went, is it normally mesh behind the orginal plate as a I like this look or is it solid plastic.

No, it is normally solid. It is meshed over as there is the mother, and quite possibly the father, of all intercoolers behind it.

They are the BBS CH motorsport wheels, same as I would put on if using 18s

dont suppose you have the bbs site address, bbs used to do some really nice spilt rims.

oh Boy Q car lesson there......Jabba and APR, not sure of others have 300+ mods out and on the way.

I wonder how much underneath is modified, rumour was the haldex could become "knackered" running above 300 ft lbs of Torque. Great FMIC mind!

What would you say is the highest bhp to modify a vrs without sacrificing the reliablity?

The 420 comes with full TUV approval :D One of the tests to get that approval is to dyno the engine when new, run it for 100,000 km. It is then retested. If power has fallen by more than 5% (IIRC) then it fails. Also means that it will still meet all noise and emission regs. :D

BBS website is www.bbsdirect.co.uk. You might also like the look of the Speedlines. I like the magnesnium rims (a la WRC car) :Dhttp://www.speedlinecorse.co.uk/

Id have either of them! The yellow RS would wow the Max Power kids , although the estate would be a fantastic Q Car and doesnt look too 'obvious' at first glance , only when you check out the grille for the FMIC and the wheels would you suspect something was afoot!

The speedlines on the wrc octavia are the ones ive been planning on getting once it is out of the warranty, 8x18 but with a deep dish offset
