North bound on the A1 yesterday at about 1.30 pm just about to pull out into the fast lane and notice the TT coming up behind me is going rather fast, let him go past with him doing at least 100mph. Thought to myself that it's a bit busy to be doing that sort of speed.

Ten or so miles later and the traffic comes to a standstill, everyone starts indicating right so lane one and two blocked, mud all over the outside two lanes and dented armco, a big fat alloy with the shocker and spring still attched in lane two.

Ah, sideways across lanes one and two is an Audi TT with the same private plate as the one that passed me earlier, thought to myself "told you it was too busy to be going that fast" further down was a 7.5 tonner. Guessing the lorry pulled out without looking or the TT had a blow out.

Same sort of situation in the lake district with my dad driving ages ago, bike performed an outrageous overtake and my dad remarked "he's going to kill himself" sure anough further up the road a motorcycle shaped gap in the dry stone wall and lots of people standing about.
