Vagcom fault code - 01336

Featured Replies

Guys / Gals - Lots of corrosion around the 3 connector blocks under the CD multichanger (due to leaking screenwash tube). Had loads of problems with the central locking which now seem to have gone away now I think I've fixed the leak, dried it and rewired a couple of connections that had corroded to destruction!

Anyhow, just new to the whole vagcom thing, but the only fault code left which will not go away is:

01336 - Data Bus for Comfort System

80-00 - Single-Wire Operation

This appears on the following controllers:

Address 17: instruments

Address 19: CAN gateway

Address 56: Radio

The scan was done with the engine NOT running if that makes a difference? So, is this code anything to be concerned about and any obvious places to look to rectify it?

Bearing in mind the point above regarding the corrosion around the connector blocks in the CD compartment, there is a high chance it's somewhere there, but anyone know which coloured wire it is or even which connector block to concentrate on (cream, darker cream or the black one?)

Any help, as always, much appreciated.

Hi, new to the forum. I have just taken ownership of a Mk1 Octavia 1.9 TDI PD 130 and I have the very same code errors as the OP in the same addresses. I have been told that it may well be dodgy connections/wiring within the door panel or under one of the seats, or maybe the Convenience Control Module.

Anyone with any ideas and/or solutions? Would be much appreciated :)

Cheers
