Featured Replies

do you need to buy any additional kit with then other than the unit, antenna and its code?

Also what the spec difference from a Mdf 2 version as they seem to be easier to get hold of and are cheaper? Am i correct in thinking if i install it i wll need it to be connected up to a VAG group machine to set it to work?

Thanks for any advice:)

Quite a lot of info covered if you use the search function here.

It's massively different to the MFD2.

You'll need a new dash fascia if you currently have a Stream fitted.

After installation they normally work without setup on VAS/VCDS however it should be done as a matter of course.

Stu's your man for technical advice as far as I'm concerned - he was exceedingly helpful to me fitting mine, and always responded promptly to any queries I had.

Spec wise - the MFD3 runs it's navigation from it's built-in hard drive, not from a disc, which means you can run a music CD at the same time as the sat nav if you want to. The MFD3 has just under 20Gb of hard drive memory to load your music as well.

Fitting is fairly straightforward if you follow Stu's fitting instructions on his website.
