Rear Wiper Nozzle Missing

Featured Replies

There was no water coming out of the rear wiper assembly so i checked and there was a leak under the expansion tank under bonnet. I re-connected the two parts of the hose and was thought that would be it.

When I tried again, there was a feeble excuse for a water jet coming out of the wiper assembly.

On inspection it appears that I am also missing a nozzle, are they easy to come by, if so any idea where i could get my hands on one and do I need to but the whole assembly.

As I hadnt taken notice of it before Im not too sure what all is missing (apart from the nozzle).

Cheers

You can get a new nozzle from a Skoda dealer and should be only a few £. You may find that the old nozzle has broken off, leaving the stem of it in the pipe. You should be able to remove it by gently screwing in a suitably sized self tapping screw and pulling it out with a pair of pliers on the head of the screw.

If the brass piece of nozzle has broken then the whole piece is NOT available as a seperate piece only the Jet nozzle is :thumbdwn:

Mine had snapped in half and the dealer took close to £90 for a new wiper motor:eek:

thanks for the info, does anyone know if an octavia or possibly seat ibiza use the same part. Thinking about getting one from a scrappy.

i had this on my fab when i picked it up

had no spray so chacked all the pipes and foudna popped join.

reconnected the pipe and tested to find that i was also missing the nozle and cover from the washer arm meaning the jet of water shot out at right angle from the boot about 6 feet.

Now as fun as it was spraying some tailgaters (you should of seen their faces!) a trip to local deal and a both parts were about £7

i tried to get the same bits of a polo and golf but niether were the same shape

Nightmare,

Looks like I have the same issue as you Sifelicia. The small brass pipe / nozzle has sheered and Mr Skoda is looking for £70 for a new motor.

Has anyone had the same problem and successfully got a suitable replacement motor / part from a scrappy. If so what mak and model did you go for.

cheers folks
