Got my RS TDi CR remapped today with Autoremap

Featured Replies

As the title says. I got my RS TDi CR remapped today by a company called Auto-tune (www.auto-tune.ie.com) here in Ireland and they also have a place in N Ireland. Anyway it's a custom remap that do. He arrived on time and had the car remapped in a little over an hour. He uploaded the programme from the ECU and sent it to head office to be checked and then the send him a custom remap to download into the ecu.The difference is fantastic. It now pulls cleanly from 1K rpm in 3rd gear with no problem and the power delivery is very linear and smooth right the way through to 4500rpm with no tail off in power unlike before when it started to fall off just short of 4k rpm. I had it sitting at 120kph in 6th on the motorway and put the foot down and it just pulled so much harder. I'd say it took half the time it would normaly take to get to 140kph.

The car delivers its power in the same manner as my old MKV Gti smooth all the way rather than one quick burst of boost.

The economy has also improved on my usual journey I used 5.8per 100km when I usualy get 6.4l per 100km.

The power is now in the region of 210bhp and 325-340 lb/ft of torque.

Highly recommend them!

Hi

If a space was to become available I would:D

Come down and I'll get it sorted for you ;)

As the man said, we need to see what gains the CR is giving

I second that comment! :)

If its making the higher end of the claimed torque (340lb/ft) I'll be well impressed!

Your clutch and flywheel must be cursing you!

I hope to have it on the Dyno the weekend. I'll post as soon as I get the results:cool:

Would this effect warranty in any way?

The short answer is yes. It will certainly effect the warranty on the turbo, clutch and other engine components. Basically anything that could be argued to have failed due to the extra power the car is now putting out. As an example it should not affect the warranty say for interior trim etc.as these have items have no bearing on the modification.

It depends on your dealer really. Plus what they dont know wont harm them...

One drive and they'll know alright !!

Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield offer Revo remaps, and they are a main dealer!!

If they look for it then they'll find it!

The whole drivetrain warranty will be void by a remap - that can include gearbox too. :(

Not for the CR though ?

Not for the CR though ?

Unfortunately not, they keep telling me that they are having difficulty communicating with the ECU!!

My experience of *most* 'technicians' (used to be called mechanics) at dealers is that they couldn't find their **** with both hands. Of course there are some good ones
