Turbo back exhausts

Featured Replies

Hi guys, now i know this has been done before but what exhaust system are you guys running?

I know most of you have blueflame systems but do any of you have other systems that you could maybe do a review on , im currently saving for a blueflame because it seems to be the cheapest turbo back system out there plus a lot of members rate them

But if any of you could shed light on say ...scorpion...magnex...jetex etc etc

What power gains did you see, ease of fit, looks etc

cheers

I'm running Milltek turbo back with 2.5" downpipe.

I was lucky to pick a 10 month old one up for just over £300 and fittedit myself.

It was fairly straight forward to do and just maked sure i soaked the bolts in WD40 before i tried to remove any.Fittment is spot-on.

I'm not sure of gains but did notice a huge increase in mid range torque.

Just be carefull with blueflame after-care as i have heard a couple of bad stories including one member(christaylor) on here having problem with his cat and was only replaced after what seemed like a lot of hassle.

I believe Powerworx does the same as Blueflame.

Iv not heard of powerworx, apparently blueflame only use 200cell cats now ,if thats true then maybe thet should update their website,im not sure if i like their tailpipe, they used to do one which looked similar to the standard octy one but now it seems to be a 6" by 4" oval

I think it's called 'Powerworx' and was set up by someone who used to work for Blueflame

PM Shifty for there number as i think he has it.

Mine is a oval tailpipe on my Milltek.

What does the octy look like with an oval,do you have any pics

a large oval looks good mate.

I got a custom one on mine mate with the letterbox end. its a smooted corner version of the std.

Custom made 63.5 mm downpipe with F1 stainless 100cel cat  made by mate who owns www.primarydesigns.co.uk he also made me a non resonated centre section because i thought the Milltek one was to quiet:rolleyes: kept the Milltek over axle and back box though (twin pipe)

All fitted by myself;)

No worrys mate ...thanx!!! :)

Steer clear of the Jetex, I had one and it was a huge pile of sh!t.....

Milltek, Pipewerx or Blueflame are well worth a look though.

I have a Miltek 100cel sports cat & a Blueflame cat back exhaust system with a 6x4 oval tailpipe welded on.

for your DP mate id get one from milltec or similar.

then ide get a custom cat back as they can tailor it to what you want. res/nonres. and the tail can be what you want. also I have noticed on all the cars Ive seen with these pre made systems, you can see the back box from the car behind. now that bothers me. so i got mine tucked right up out the way so the only way you can see it is if you look up under the back bumper at the underside of the car.

was that close that when it got hot and expanded it was catchin and makin a noise so the company adjusted it for me and now its spot on. and sounds ace too.

quiate in a cruise but under load she sings and when revin high

mine is longlife in cardiff. they got places all over the uk. there are a few all over. only thing is they werent too sure bout makin me a custom DP. thats y I sai go for a milltec or similar one.

i went and asked for the cat back and the 200 cell cat thinkin that when you get the cat they do the DP but they dont. so I got std dp and 200cel cat n 2.5" cat back.

sounds ace mate.

Gunna have to start saving those pennys now,for a turbo back blueflame its £560,Milteks around £700!!!

Its hard to justify the prices they charge for exhausts... but im on that slippery slope called modify

So its gotta be done im afraid

how much is it for the DP n cat mate on its own?

it was 325 + 40 for the cat back longlife and the 40 is for the tail i picked. think if you want the can cut the std end off and pit it on for you if you really want a std lookin one

you wont regret gettin it done though mate sounds better and mine still looks new and its been on nearly a year.

plus longlife give you lifetime warrenty on it so long as its on the car. even if you sell it just call them and tell them who you sold it to and they will be cuverd too.

I think the blueflame cat badk is around £260ish...and the DP and cat is £299

I will look into longlife tho matey cheers for that!

ne probs mate, Id get the complete blueflame too as its cheaper lol

when I got mine I wasnt too keen on theres and the milltec was FAR too expencive lol

i am watchin that

its only a cat back thou

I saw it when the fella bought it

it has 2 markes from welding on the bit that says milltec

not too bada mark

ive got a blueflame turbo back system, had the centre box removed an a different tip wielded on cause wasnt too keen of the upswept oval, sounds alot nicer now, still want it louder though lol
